Skot Communications announces commencement of business, promises to realign Africa PR market dynamics

 

Skot Communications, a global strategic communications consultancy has said that its business will work on realigning Africa PR Market dynamics by helping clients define their voice and message.

In a press briefing held in Lagos on Tuesday to announce the commencement of it’s business, founder, Skot Communications, Tokunboh George Taylor said; ” We are about the voice reason. Voice is one thing every human being is or wants. And if we do not have the voice, things will be silence. In Skot Communications, we will work with you to help you find a target audience. Define your voice and define your messages.”

George Taylor said she believes that when you find your voice and define your messages, then your messages will be heard.

The CEO said she venge into this after working with PR agencies for nine years, “my experiences as a PR personnel for nine years with agencies gave me the confidence and comfort to start my own agency,” she said.

Pointing out the features her clients will be expecting in the new business, she said they are going to get the same work they were offering in K&H because nothing has changed. ” Hill+Knowlton Nigeria Limited staffs are the same. Nothing has changed. The creativity, content etc are the same. We are retaining all the staffs and clients 100%. This are staffs we have worked with and they are competent staffs. Also, retaining them I believe its important for business growth,” she said.

Tokunboh George-Taylor, the esteemed Pioneering Managing Director of Hill+Knowlton Nigeria, recently entered into a strategic asset and business transfer agreement with with Hill+Knowlton Nigeria Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of WPP Scangroup Plc.

 

The move led to the launch of Skot Communications, a global strategic communications consultancy with a focus on Sub Saharan Africa, with operations in Lagos and London.

Communications Director, Skot Communications, Edafe Onoriode at the media parly said transitioning to Skot will be on building an existing legacy and expanding on it.

She said, in sustaining and maintaining that relationship, the company want to engage more and understand how they can be better. “Our strategies are to stand out as the media we stand out for. We are looking at how we can use what we have now to get what we want in future. How do we become a very integrated non stop for our clients. We want to be your consultant. We are ensuring that we strengthen those relationship. she said.

Skot Communications, Edafe said offers alot more quality, professional talent teams, and trust which is very critical for the company.

Adding, the CEO, George Taylor said, “What makes us different is the way we operate and campaign. We were restricted in H&K but with this we have opportunities to work with other clients both global and local clients. We offer clients a switch of opportunities.”

On a current report of PR in Nigeria today, she said businesses are beginning to appreciate PR than before. They are beginning to understand its important to their businesses even government have also seen how important it is to use PR Market to tell their stories. ”I feel the PR business is going to transform and AI can’t replace us. There is still a very long way to go for AI. AI cannot create the portfolios and economic growth,” she stressed.
