The late Adegoke had lodged at Adedoyin’s Hilton Honours Hotel, Ile-Ife, when he went to write his exams but was later found mysteriously killed in November 2021.

In it’s ruling, the appellate court, held that the judgment by the Osun State High Court which sentenced a popular hotel owner to death is in order.

The court on October 29, 2024, reserved judgement.

However, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, it upheld the conclusion of the lower court

“The judgment of the High Court of Osun State stands. Adedoyin’s appeal is dismissed in part. The Court of Appeal held that Adedoyin was properly convicted and sentenced to death,” the judgement partly read.

Additionally, it noted that the “Order of forfeiture of Hilton Hotel quashed and set aside. Order of education scholarship to children of Timothy Adegoke by Adedoyin and others quashed and set aside.”
