Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander for Coordination Mohammad-Reza Naqdi has said that Iran deployed only five per cent of its capabilities in the recent Iran-Israel war.
Naqdi warned in an appearance on IRINN TV (Iran) that in a future war, no American in the Middle East would leave the region intact.
He said ground forces, the core of Iran’s military power, were not deployed in the recent confrontation.
The IRGC deputy commander revealed that Iran’s newly appointed IRGC Commander-in-Chief General Pakpour and Ground Forces Commander General Karami follow an ideological doctrine centred on ground invasion.
“Only five per cent of our military units confronted the enemy. If you want to evaluate it, our main capabilities remained unused and were not deployed in this confrontation. The main strength of our armed forces is the ground forces. Our ground forces have a lot to say. The new appointments by the armed forces Commander-in-Chief [Ayatollah Khamenei] are very indicative of where we are going in our future operations. The ideological doctrine of General Pakpour and General Karami is one of ground invasion”.
Asked to explain the meaning of the warning Ayatollah Sistani made in response to President Trump’s threats that the Middle-East would descend into chaos, Naqdi said, “It means that not a single American worker would leave the region intact. They will all be killed or taken captive – their diplomats, their military personnel, their officials, and their oil workers”.
